DAS VERSCHWINDEN DER STEPHANIE MAILER
ROMAN
DICKER, JOËL
It is July 30, 1994 in Orphea, a warm summer evening on the American east coast: on this day the seaside resort is shaken by a terrible crime, because the mayor and his family as well as a casual passer-by die in a multiple murder. Two young police officers, Jesse Rosenberg and Derek Scott, are put in charge of the investigation and they go about their jobs with the utmost care until a culprit is found. But twenty years later, journalist Stephanie Mailer claims that Rosenberg and Scott were wrong. Shortly afterwards the young woman disappears.
